Merriman’s provides in-house coordination services. The team provides coordination and booking of vendors, food and beverage, staffing, and setup. They are on-site the day of your wedding to ensure your timeline is followed and the event runs smoothly.
Originally from Sequim, WA, Valerye graduated from Washington State University in 2010, Summa Cum Laude, with a BA in Public Relations. After college she followed her dreams to Hawaii where she proudly calls Maui home as Merriman's Events Manager. After a few years on the Merriman's team and hundreds of successful events, Valerye had her own story book wedding. She truly has a knack for event planning, coordination and design, paying close attention to detail and a valued understanding of each client. Valerye and her team will execute your concepts flawlessly while maintaining a pleasant, stress-free process to ensure an amazing experience for you and your guests. In her spare time Valerye enjoys distance running, basketball, new music, and spending time with her energetic rescue dog.
Adrienne Mitchell was born in the small town of Fort Kent, Maine. After graduating from State University of New York at Potsdam, she headed to the warmer weather and warmer waters of Maui. With a strong administrative background, Adrienne possesses the organizational skills and attention to detail necessary to make your special day perfect. She will be there to help you every step of the way to ensure your wedding is everything you dreamed it would be, with memories to last a lifetime. Her favorite part of the process is seeing it all come together and having a happy bride! When Adrienne's not busy planning events, she enjoys reading, hiking, running, and of course, going to the beach!
Danielle Kuck, the General Manager of Merriman’s Kapalua, started with Merriman’s over 7 years ago as Peter Merriman’s personal assistant. She quickly moved into the Event Manager position and helped develop and nurture the department into the success it is today. With strong communication skills geared to both internal leadership and providing outstanding customer service, Danielle works hard to ensure premiere events. Not only is Danielle detail oriented, but she is also passionate about Merriman's core values and dedicated to doing the right thing for our guests and her team of employees. Danielle also loves spending time with her family, being active, paddling outrigger canoe, and chocolate. Danielle graduated in Hospitality Management from Central Michigan University in 2006 and has successfully executed over 1000 events.

We were thrilled to return to Merriman’s with our group of 50+ health researchers after having been there in 2014. Our event, from the planning with the wonderful event staff, to the cocktail reception outdoors, to the sit-down dinner in the private dining area, was seamless. The service the night of our reception and dinner was efficient and prompt, but not rushed. The food was delicious and fresh and the views, of course, were spectacular. Having dinner at Merriman’s was again the highlight of our three day event!

We celebrated our wedding at Merriman's on 11/4/16 (selecting thebuyout option) and the entire staff made the 4th the most incredible day we could have asked for! It was more beautiful than I culd have ever dreamt! Everyone was so easy to work with and made the planning process (over a year!) so easy, especially Val and Adrienne. Location, food, service I just can't say enough how amazing everything was... we have received so many compliments.
About a week before the wedding Adrienne/Val had some input on the bar selection and suggested adding imperial bottles of champagne...that was such a fun touch and probably one of my favorite things throughout the night. i think it absolutely set the tone for the night and everyone had a blast!
Val and Adrienne dealt with all my changes/requests and emails without any complaints and they were always helpful when I had questions/concerns. I can truly say all the planning and attention to detail really paid off and they did an amazing job executing everythiung i wanted, and it will be a day we remember and cherish forever!
